02/26/2013 09:00 AMJay Alan Marcus, 60, of 1044 Hartford Turnpike, North Haven, died on Feb. 22 at Yale-New Haven Hospital after a short illness. He was the beloved husband of 38 years to Regina Tucker Marcus. Mr. Marcus was born in Flushing, Queens, New York, on June 7, 1952, the loving son of Beatrice Nemeth Marcus of Cape Coral, Florida, and the late Arnold Marcus. He had resided in North Haven for the past 32 years and had been a retail manager for Rite-Aid Pharmacies for the past 10 years, most recently working at the East Haven location.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by his two beloved sons, David A. Marcus of Milford, and Eric T. Marcus of Avon, and his loving sister Jill Maser of West Bloomfield, Michigan.
His family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, Feb. 25, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Torello-Iacobucci Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. His funeral service, officiated by Rabbi Herbert Brockman, will be conducted on Tuesday, Feb. 26, at 12 noon, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Centerville Cemetery, Hamden.
