Russell A. Corby, 56, of Westbrook, died on January 30.  Russell was born in Newport, Rhode Island, on June 20, 1956, son of the late Russell J. Corby and Louise C. Hallisey. He was also the stepson of the late Captain John Hallisey.

Russell’s family thanks the doctors and staff at Yale-New Haven Hospital’s Neurology Intensive Care Unit for their kindness and compassion.

Russell is survived by the love of his life, Patricia Wright; his sister Christine and her husband Christopher Charland; his sister Paula; his stepchildren, Richard, Robert, and Ryan Wright; his grandchildren, Alexis, Aiden, and Brayden Wright; and his Aunt Elaine, Uncle Tony, and his cousins. He is also survived many friends, who will miss him.

Calling hours will take place on Saturday, Jan. 9, from 9 to 11:30 a.m., at the Swan Funeral Home, 1224 Boston Post Rd., Old Saybrook.  A memorial service will take place following the calling hours at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
