Theresa Jane Moody, 87, of Branford, died on Jan. 15, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Bridgeport, daughter of the late John and Mary Ruane. She was the wife of Robert F. Moody, her beloved husband of 65 years. Together they had four children: Michael Moody, Patrick Moody, Mary Kate Moody, and Maggie Jensen (wife of John Parese). She and Bob raised their family in Trumbull where they lived for 41 years before retiring to Branford. They enjoyed their summers boating on Long Island Sound and vacationing on Cape Cod.  Theresa was faithful parishioner of St. Theresa's Parish in Trumbull and, more recently, St. Therese Parish in Branford. Theresa's faith in God and her loving family were her greatest joys.

Besides her husband and children, she is survived by six grandchildren, of whom she was very proud: Mellicent Masse, Nolan Masse and his wife Kate, Patrick and Emma Moody, and Bridget and Jack Moody. She was predeceased by her grandson, "Mick." 

Relatives and friends may call on Friday, Jan. 18, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St., Branford, and are invited to a mass of Christian burial on Saturday, Jan. 19, at 11 a.m., at St. Therese Church, Branford.  Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Branford.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 1311 Mamaroneck Ave., Suite 310, White Plains, NY 10605.  For directions and online memorial see www.wsclancy.com.
