Anna DeRenzo, 99, East Haven


Anna Esposito DeRenzo, 99, former longtime resident of Thompson Ave., East Haven, died Jan. 5 at the Talmadge Park Nursing Facility.  She was the wife of the late Ralph DeRenzo. Mrs. DeRenzo was born in New Haven on March 1, 1913, daughter of the late Cataldo and Raffie DePino Esposito. She had worked for 20 years for the Gant Shirt Company, from which she retired. She was a member of the East Haven Senior Citizens, the East Shore Seniors, and the Annex Club.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Patty DeRenzo of East Haven; three grandchildren, Steve Troiano and his fiancée Maria, Mark Troiano and his wife Doreen, and Edward DeRenzo and his companion Tracy; two great-grandchildren, Edward DeRenzo, Jr. and Shelby Reilly; and a great-great-grandchild, Ariana DeRenzo. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Annette DeRenzo Troiano, and her siblings, Pasquale Esposito, Madaline DeCato, Theresa Passick, and Mary Cusano.

Her funeral procession will leave the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, on Wednesday, Jan. 9, at 9:30 a.m.  A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Church at 10 a.m., followed by burial in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
