01/03/2013 09:00 AMAdeline Carmela Teti Starno, 88, of 50 Grand Avenue, New Haven died Dec. 30 at Yale-New Haven Hospital after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Frederick P. Starno, Sr. Adeline was born in New Haven on April 17, 1924, a daughter of the late Anthony and Carmela Gargano Teti, and was a lifelong New Haven resident.
She was a bindry worker for the former United Printing Company of New Haven for ten years, retiring in 1989. Adeline is survived by a son, Frederick P. (Mary) Starno, Jr. of Northford, a brother-in-law, Anthony Cresci of Hamden, four grandchildren, Robert (Melissa) Pisani, Christian (Lori) Pisani, Frederick P. Starno, III, and Kim Starno, and two great grandchildren, Patricia "P.J." Pisani and Aiden Starno. She is predeceased by her daughter, Patricia Pisani, two sisters, Geraldine Crisci and Clara DeVito, and three brothers, John, James, and Anthony "Jr." Teti.
Adeline's family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Torello-Iacobucci Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Avenue, North Haven. Her funeral procession will leave from the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 10:45 a.m. at St. Monica Church, 1331 Middletown Avenue, Northford. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
