Lois D. Redfern, 89, Madison
Lois Redfern, 89, of 100 Bradley Rd., Madison, died on Dec. 25 in Guilford, surrounded with the love of her family and friends. She was the wife of 49 years to the late Robert E. Redfern. Lois was born in East St. Louis, Illinois, on Jan. 18, 1923, daughter of the late Samuel and Ruth Younger DuPuy. She spent much of her adult life in Larchmont, New York and in Madison, Connecticut. Lois was an accomplished quilter and crafter, an avid gardener and reader, and a lifelong supporter of animal protection causes.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan Nathan of Washington, D.C., Lynn Parisi and her husband Michael Samuels of Boulder, Colorado; Nancy Redfern of Park City, Utah, and Sally Redfern of Tampa Florida; her stepson Robert Redfern, Jr. and his wife Wendy of Parkland, Florida; three grandsons, Andrew and Robert Nathan, and Samuel Peake; and two step-grandsons, Ryan and Todd Redfern.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the national ASPCA. The Hawley Lincoln Memorial, Guilford, is in charge of arrangements.
