12/18/2012 10:45 AMDavid J. LaMark, 48, of Old Saybrook, died suddenly in Old Saybrook on Dec. 14. He was the beloved son of Eileen (Hogan) LaMarco of Old Saybrook and the late Anthony S. LaMarco. David was born in Middletown and graduated from Old Saybrook High School in 1982. He bravely served his country in the U.S. Army as a medic in Germany, and he had worked for 25 years for the Connecticut Laborers Union No. 547. David loved to travel and skydive and will be remembered as a devoted father and family man.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his daughters, Justine and Angela LaMark, and his former wife Susan Collins, all of Clinton; his siblings; John J. LaMark of Clinton, Jeremiah T. LaMark of Deep River, Theresa LaMark of Deep River, William LaMarco of Old Saybrook, Carol LaMark of Deep River, Eileen LaMark of Old Saybrook, Michael LaMarco of West Hartford, and Patrick LaMark of Old Saybrook. He was predeceased by four brothers, Santo, Joseph, James, and Samuel.
Visiting hours will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, Middlesex Turnpike, Chester, on Wednesday, Dec. 19, from 5 to 7 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will take place on Thursday, Dec. 20, at 10 a.m., followed by burial with full military honors in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Daughters of David LaMark Scholarship Fund, c/o Peoples Bank, 215 E. Main St. Clinton, CT 06413.
