12/17/2012 10:00 AMMargaret “Peggy” Kaiser, 76, wife of Ronald D. Kaiser of Branford, died on Dec. 13 at the Connecticut Hospice in Branford, lovingly surrounded by her family and friends. She was born in New Haven on Oct. 20, 1936, daughter of the late Margaret and Michael Renner Dertzo. She started her career working at Yale Law School, became a homemaker, and then went back to work as a receptionist at The Orthopedic Group. Upon retirement, she volunteered at the Connecticut Hospice were she became part of another family. She was a Brownie Leader, Cub Scout Den Leader, member of the Branford Point Homemakers, and a volunteer at many organizations throughout her life.
Peggy loved her nieces, nephews, in-laws, Godchildren, close friends and their extended families. She will always be remembered for her warm smile and kindness that she shared with everyone she met.
Her family thanks everyone for their support and all the special people who cared for Peggy at the Guilford House, Saint Raphael’s Hospital, and Hospice.
Besides her husband of 54 years, she is survived by her children, Ronald D. Kaiser, Jr. of North Branford, and Patricia A. Kaiser of Branford; her grandchildren, Ronald C. Kaiser, Francesca A. Kaiser, and Jamie L. Hawkins; and her great-granddaughter, Lillian M. Hawkins.
Friends may call on Wednesday, Dec. 19, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St., Branford, and are invited to a memorial mass of Christian burial on Thursday, Dec. 20, at 10 a.m., at St. Mary Church. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405.
