Robert E. Frank, 79, North Haven
Robert E. Frank, 79, of North Haven, died on Dec. 6 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford. He was the husband of 56 years to Marilyn Charbonneau Frank. Robert was born in New Haven on March 22, 1933, son of the late James and Frances Marvin Frank. He served his country faithfully as a corporal in the Military Police of the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and, while stationed in Chicago, he met many of the USO’s famous movie stars including Betty Grabel and the whole 1952 New York Yankees team.
Robert had worked for Pratt & Whitney for many years, retiring as a foreman/supervisor. He was also a longtime parishioner of St. Frances Cabrini Church and was an avid New York Yankees and New York Giants fan.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Sharon Palmeri and her husband John of North Haven, Robert Frank and his wife Suzanne of Northford, Susan Puzycki and her husband John of North Haven, and Stephen Frank and his wife Kate of Wallingford. He is also survived by nine beloved grandchildren. He was predeceased by his siblings Margaret Thomas, Ruth Recore, Dorothy Frank, Barbara Warner, Frederick, Russell, and James and Raymond Frank.
His funeral procession left the North Haven Funeral Home on Dec. 10 for a mass of Christian burial at St. Frances Cabrini Church. Burial with full military honors took place in All Saints Cemetery.
