Beatrice “Bea-Bee” Giordano, 45, New Haven, formerly of Branford
Beatrice “Bea-Bee” Giordano, 45, of New Haven, formerly of Branford, died Dec. 6 at the Hospital of St. Raphael after a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Beatrice was born in New Haven on Feb. 12, 1967, daughter of Al (Babe) Giordano and the stepdaughter of Florence (Dolly) Giordano of Branford. She grew up in Branford and recently resided in New Haven. Beatrice had worked as a CNA at Branford Hills Health Care Center for more than 20 years and was an active communicant of St. Mary Church in Branford where she taught religious education for many years. She also served as secretary for the 315 Club at Bella Vista and was an active member of the MS Support Group. Beatrice loved to travel, take trips to the casinos, and play Bingo.
Her family extends their love and gratitude for the wonderful care that Beatrice received at the SICU at St. Raphael’s Hospital and to her personal caregivers for everything they did for her.
She is survived by three sisters, Germaine Mathis and her husband Joseph, Lisa Fiasconaro and her husband Daniel, and Nancy White and her fiancé Fred Conner, all of Branford; two brothers Mark Giordano and his wife Patricia of Branford and Paul Giordano of Branford; her stepsister, Barbara DeFazio of Tucson, Arizona; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 11, at 11 a.m., at St. Mary Church in Branford. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Branford. The W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, Branford, is in charge of arrangements. See online memorial @ www.wsclancy.com.
