10/19/2012 11:00 AMVincent J. Camperchioli, 59, of Westbrook, died unexpectedly on Oct. 13. He was the beloved husband of 24 years to Joan (Daviau) Camperchioli. Vinny was born on Nov. 17, 1952 in Brooklyn, New York, son of Vincent W. Camperchioli and the late Edith M. (Blundell) Camperchioli. His central focus was his family, and he will be sorely missed.
Vinny enjoyed being at home, working in the yard and restoring old cars with his sons. He also shared a talent for guitar with his daughter and sons. Vinny’s Sunday brunch was a weekly family tradition after mass at St. Mark’s Church. Everyone who knew him will miss his forthrightness and sense of humor.
Besides his loving wife and his father, Vinny is survived by his children, John Vincent, James Michael, Marian Lynn, Joseph Mark, and David Arthur, as well as one sister, Jeanne Camperchioli and her husband Al Hinds of Bloomfield. He was predeceased by his infant daughter, Olivia Rose Camperchioli.
Viewing hours will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon at St. Mark’s Church, 222 McVeagh Rd., Westbrook, on Friday, Oct. 19, prior to his funeral mass, which will be celebrated at noon.
