10/08/2012 04:00 PMFrank "Terry" Ferraiolo, 94, of 2 Townsend Ave., New Haven, died suddenly on Oct. 5 at Yale-New Haven Hospital, St. Raphael Campus. He was the beloved husband of Adeline "Addie" Farace Ferraiolo. Terry was born in New Haven on Jan. 24, 1918, son of the late Salvatore and Mary Anastasio Ferraiolo. He was a lifelong New Haven resident and had been a diesel mechanic for Amtrak for 22 years, retiring in 1983. Terry had also been employed at the Robert E. Shure Funeral Home of New Haven for the past 45 years.
Terry was a member of the Annex YMA of New Haven, and the Tuesday Night Bocce Club of the YMA. He was also a member of the Ridge Road Seniors of Wallingford, the Wednesday Night Bocce League of East Haven, and the St. Trofimena Society of New Haven.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three loving children, Joseph Ferraiolo and his wife Lucille of East Haven, Janet Dunn and her husband James of New Haven, and Robert "Murphy" Ferraiolo and his wife Lori, also of New Haven. In addition, he is survived by six adoring grandchildren, Melissa DeLucia and her husband Richard, Marc Ferraiolo and his wife Emily, Nicole Perrone and her husband Dominick, Danielle Ferraiolo, and Jacquie and Jamie Dunn, as well as three treasured great-grandchildren, Ryan and Tessa DeLucia and Sadie Ferraiolo.
His funeral procession left the Torello-Iacobucci Washington Memorial Funeral Home, North Haven, on Oct. 8 for a mass of Christian burial, which was celebrated at St. Bernadette Church, New Haven. Burial was in St. Agnes Cemetery, Branford. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to St. Bernadette School, 20 Burr St., New Haven, CT 06512.
