Angela A. Sanzeri, 94, of Branford, died on Sept. 21.  She was the wife of the late Nicholas Sanzeri, who predeceased her in 1978. She was born in New Haven on Jan. 29, 1918, daughter of the late Angelo and Dora Alogna.

She is survived by her daughters, Marie Pohlman and her husband John of Madison and Sandra Vlieger and her husband Rodney of Richmond, Virginia; three grandchildren, Jennifer Everitt and her husband Paul, Matthew Vlieger and his wife Eileen, and Garrett Vlieger and his wife Rachelle; and her great-grandchildren, Nora Angela Vlieger and Nicholas John Vlieger. She was predeceased by three brothers, Saverio, James, and Leonard Alogna, and her sister, Victoria Vanacore.

A mass of Christian burial was held at St. George Church, Guilford, on Sept. 25. Burial was in St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven. Gifts in her memory may be made to the Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405. The Hawley Lincoln Memorial, Guilford, was in charge of arrangements.
