09/21/2012 03:00 PMMary Cavallaro Albano, 88, a longtime East Haven resident, died in East Haven on Sept. 20. She was the wife of the late Paul A. Albano, Sr., who predeceased her on Sept. 11. Mary was born in New Haven on May 18, 1924, daughter of the late Joseph and Teresa Cavallaro. She was a graduate of the former Commercial High School in New Haven and was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church in East Haven.
She is survived by her son, Paul A. Albano, Jr. and his wife Rose of East Haven; two beloved grandsons, Paul A. Albano III and Frankie Albano, who were her pride and joy; and two sisters, Anna Langella of East Haven and Lillian Sparago of West Haven. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers, Owen, Francis, Joseph, and Carmen Cavallaro, and four sisters, Rose Vigliotti, Julia Cavallaro, Virginia Ferrigno, and Vera D'Albis.
Her funeral procession will leave the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, on Monday, Sept. 24, at 9:30 a.m. A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Church at 10 a.m., followed by burial in East Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday, Sept. 23, from 3 to 6 p.m.
