Dominic DeNuzzo, 95, North Haven
Dominic DeNuzzo, 95, of North Haven, died peacefully on Aug. 20 at the Hospice Unit at Masonicare in Wallingford. He was the husband of the late Mary DeLucia DeNuzzo. Mr. DeNuzzo was born in New Haven on Dec. 28, 1916, son of the late Frank and Carmela Cerrato DeNuzzo. He had served his country faithfully during World War II, was a chief petty officer for 20 years, and had worked at Pratt & Whitney for 30 years. He is survived by his children, Frank DeNuzzo of Hamden and Mary Ann Wilkinson of Ridgefield; three grandchildren, Sean Congdon of Ridgefield, Christopher Congdon of Vermont, and Melissa Bonin of Southington; and two great-grandchildren, James Boyle and Lilliana Bonin. He is also survived by a brother, Frank DeNuzzo, Jr. of Florida; a sister, Theresa Condon of Wallingford; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four siblings, Antionette Murphy, and Rosalie, Ferdinand, and Anthony DeNuzzo.
Relatives and friends are invited to go directly to St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Ave., North Haven, on Monday, Aug. 27, at 10 a.m. for a mass of Christian burial and are also invited to attend the committal services immediately following in All Saints Cemetery. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Selesian Missions, 2 Lefevre Lane, New Rochelle, N.Y. 10801-5710. The North Haven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
