Carmela (Vicky) Reinecke, 89, of Guilford, formerly of Greenwich, died on Aug. 15.  She was the wife of 57 years to the late Wallace (Wally) Reinecke, Sr.  Vicky was born on June 30, 1923 and spent most of her early years in the Bronx and Brooklyn, New York, before moving to Greenwich.  She was an editor at Cleworth Publications in Greenwich where she developed her love for reading all types of books and publications.  www.GuilfordFuneralHome.com. 

Upon retiring, Vicky and Wally moved to Colchester and eventually moved to Guilford.  Vicky loved all animals and listening to music – especially Tim McGraw.  

She is survived by her two sons, Wallace, Jr. of Guilford and Richard of Bethel; three grandsons, Christopher, Matthew, and Jonathan; her granddaughter Caitlin; and her brother, Al Zeto.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, Aug. 27, at 11 a.m., at the First Congregational Church, 108 Sound Beach Ave., Old Greenwich. Burial will be private. Contributions in her memory may be made to Apple Rehab, Patient Recreation Fund, 10 Boston Post Rd., Guilford, CT 06437, where Vicky was lovingly cared for by the devoted staff for the past six years.  The Guilford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
