08/10/2012 03:00 PMLena P. Bartolini, 92, of Branford, died Aug. 4 at the Connecticut Hospice, with her family by her side. She was the widow of Dante J. Bartolini. Lena was born in Ansonia on Oct. 19, 1919, daughter of the late George and Mary Squayzer. She volunteered at the Community Dining Room and Sarah's Cupboard. She also enjoyed her weekly bingo games, lobby time, reading, and crossword puzzles. Most importantly, she loved her family and time spent with them.
Lena was cherished by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her and will be greatly missed. She was a special lady.

Lena is survived by her children, Nancy Cave and her husband Jeffrey of Branford, Debra Porter of Guilford, and Ralph Bartolini and his wife Denise Ranieri of Branford. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jason Cave and his wife Melissa of Alexandria, Virginia, Jeffrey Cave and his wife Ellie Guttman of Branford, Matthew Cimino of Cleveland, Ohio, and Robert Cimino of Wallingford; two stepchildren, Edward Bartolini and his wife Agnes of Hamden and James Bartolini and his wife Kim of Glastonbury; three step-grandchildren, Edward, Donna, and Jessica; and two great-grandchildren, Zachary Thomas and Kathryn Lily Cave of Alexandria, Virginia. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, James T. Porter.
Friends may call at W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St., Branford, on Friday, Aug. 10, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at St. Mary Church, Branford. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
