Wayne W. Chabot, 59, Branford


Wayne W. Chabot, 59, of Branford, died of cancer on May 28. He was born in Bridgeport on Nov. 26, 1952, the loving son of Marie Chabot of Guilford and the late Joseph Chabot. Wayne grew up in Milford and joined the U.S. Army in 1971. He was honorably discharged in 1977.

Wayne was a parishioner of St. Mary Church in Branford. He had worked as a bartender for many years at Steak & Sword in Milford and also had a painting business, All American Painting, in Branford. His hobbies included building a 1970 Harley Davidson motorcycle and a 1980’s Endeavor sloop. He also enjoyed Block Island, and in the early 1990s had lived on and owned his own sailboat.

Besides his mother, he is survived by his wonderful daughter, Marina E. Chabot of Branford, whom he loved very much. In addition, he is survived by his sister, Cheryl Rosa her husband Peter of Texas, and his friends, Don and Linda of Milford, Scott and his family of West Haven, and Gary and Gretchen of Stony Creek.
