06/13/2012 03:00 PMThomas M. Bakke, 57, of Old Saybrook, died on June 10. He was the husband of Pamela (Williams) Bakke. Tom was born on May 14, 1955 in Portland, Maine, son of Florence (Gates) Bakke and the late Elmer Bakke. Tom enjoyed traveling and sharing his experiences with others. He also enjoyed skiing with friends over the years. His most treasured moments, however, were with his grandchildren, Gage and "Minabean".
Besides his wife and his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Danielle Bakke of Enfield; two grandchildren, Gage and Adamina Glidden; and a nephew, Christopher Bakke. He is also survived by other loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends, too many to mention. He was predeceased by his brother, Stephen Bakke.
His family will receive friends on Friday, June 15, from 2 to 4 p.m., at the Swan Funeral Home, 1224 Boston Post Rd., Old Saybrook. Burial will be private.
