05/29/2012 10:00 AMJennie Rose (Drag) Bassetti, 95, of the Chestelm Nursing Home, Moodus, died May 19 at Middlesex Hospital. Born in Old Saybrook, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Mary (Tylec) Drag. She had been employed for many years at the L.C. Doane Company of Essex and was a longtime resident of Deep River.
She is survived by several nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, great-great-nephews and great-great-nieces. She was predeceased by two sisters, Josephine Burr and Irene Norton, and a brother, Stephen Drag.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 24, from 10 to 11 a.m., at the Swan Funeral Home, 80 East Main St., Clinton, with a funeral service at 11 am. Burial will follow in the Higganum-Burr Cemetery in Higganum. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the Middlesex Hospice, 28 Crescent St., Middletown, CT 06457.
