Frances D. Aulicino, 87, Westbrook


Frances D. Aulicino, 87, of Westbrook, died May 23 at Middlesex Hospital, surrounded by her family.  She was the beloved wife of the late Jack Aulicino.  She was born in Munhall, Pennsylvania, on Oct. 28, 1924, daughter of the late John and Mary (Chunko) Meyers. Frances and Jack were the owners of Jack’s Package Store in Westbrook for many years.  A devoted member of the Westbrook Elks 1784 Emblem Club, Frances was also a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW and the Westbrook Fire Department Auxiliary. In addition, she was one of the original members of the St. Mark’s Ladies Guild.

Westbrook has lost a good friend.

Frances is survived by her son, Michael R. Aulicino of Springfield, Virginia; her daughter Marlene and her husband Bruce Voorheis of Fernandina Beach, Florida; and a granddaughter, Kathleen E. Voorheis of Davenport, Florida.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 29, at St. Mark’s Church, McVeigh Rd., Westbrook, followed by burial in Resurrection Cemetery, Westbrook.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Westbrook Ambulance, Boston Post Rd., Westbrook, CT 06498.  The Swan Funeral Home of Old Saybrook is in charge of arrangements.
