Florence W. Pearson, 97, Branford


Florence White Pearson, 97, of Branford, died on May 16 at the Regency House in Wallingford. She was the wife of the late Leonard A. Pearson. Florence was born in Naugatuck on Dec. 10, 1914, daughter of the late Paul and Mary White. She was a communicant of St. Mary Church in Branford and also enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casinos. Though her body aged, her mind never did.

Florence's family expresses their gratitude to the caring staff at the Orchard House in Branford.

Florence is survived by her daughters, Linda Lee Ehrenberg of Oklahoma and Susan Simpson and her husband Thomas of Durham; a grandson, Brian Ehrenberg of Oklahoma; a granddaughter, Amanda D'Ambrosio of Chester, New Hampshire; and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, George White, and her sisters, Mary Avery, Anna Clancy, and Agnes Galina.

Friends may call on Saturday, May 19, from 9 to 10 a.m. and are invited to a funeral service at 10 a.m. at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St., Branford. Burial will be in Tabor Cemetery, Branford. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Branford Community Dining Room, 30 Harrison Ave., Branford, CT 06405. See obit @www.wsclancuy.com.
