03/01/2012 11:00 PMBenjamin Shore Morris, 60, of North Haven, died at his home on Feb. 29 following a valiant battle with prostate cancer. He was surrounded by family and loved ones who provided love, support, and peace during his final moments. Ben was the loving husband of 17 years to Kim Santacroce Morris, whose love, companionship, and devotion sustained him to the end. He was born in Hartford on March 5, 1951, son of Irving Morris of Cheshire and the late Rita Greenblatt. Though cut short, Ben's life was blessed with success in life and in business.
Ben received his bachelor's degree in political science from Brown University in 1973 and his law degree from the UConn Law School. He took great pride in the companies that he built. Ben started Redstone Development in 1993 and Lienfactors in 2005.
Besides his beloved wife, he is survived by two loving daughters, Taylor Ann and Chandler Ann Morris, both of North Haven, who always knew how much he loved them. He is also survived by three sisters, Lisa Sarenduc of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Carol Settel of Palm Harbor, Florida, and Nina Lapinski of Glastonbury; a brother, Sam Morris of Branford; four nieces; and many friends and co-workers.
There are no calling hours. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Saturday, March 3, at 11:30 a.m., in Centerville Cemetery, Hamden.
