Elizabeth Madeline Morales, 73, of West Haven, beloved mother and grandmother, died with her family by her side on Feb. 23 due to complications from her long battle with cancer. Elizabeth was born in Brooklyn, New York, on Aug. 10, 1938, daughter of the late John and Mary Brandt Samuels. She had resided and raised her family in New Haven.

Elizabeth is survived by her children, Betty Ann of New Haven, Ronald, Mary, Joann, Madeline, and Sharon, all of West Haven, Nancy of Northford, Paul of Hamden, and Susan Nieves and her husband Carlos of North Haven. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

 A memorial service, officiated by The Reverend Timothy Meehan, will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 28, at 5 p.m., at the Torello-Iacobucci Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. Her family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3 to 5 p.m. Burial will be private.
