Christine A. Egan, 60, of Clinton
Christine A. Egan, 60, of Clinton, died Feb. 14 surrounded by her family at CT Hospice in Branford. Christine was born in Teaneck, New Jersey on March 16, 1951 to the late James and Victoria (Giantonio) Walsh. She was the beloved wife of Russell W. Egan Jr. Christine and Russ moved to Clinton in 1974. She was employed at Bausch Advanced Technology in Clinton for three years and worked in customer service at Evergreen Financial Services in Clinton. Christine worked for Saybrook Office Equipment in Old Saybrook for six years. Christine was a true New York Yankee and New York Giants fan. She will be remembered as the mother hen, always caring about everyone, but most of all she cherished her family. Clinton has lost a good friend.
Besides her husband of 30 years, she is survived by her son Richard J. Dass and his wife Sara of East Hartford, a daughter Colleen Comeau of Newington, and her sister Doreen Driskill of Holland, Massachusetts. She is also survived by one grandchild, Hannah. Christine is pre-deceased by her two brothers Patrick and James Walsh.
Family and friends are invited to the Swan Funeral Home, 80 East Main Street, Clinton, on Friday, Feb. 17 from 6 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Feb. 18 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Church of the Visitation, Grove Street, Clinton. Interment will be private.
