Ann Morrone, 79, East Haven
Ann Misbach Morrone, 79, of Thompson St., East Haven, died on Dec. 10, 2011 at the Connecticut Hospice. She was the devoted wife of Andrew Morrone, who was the love of her life. She was born in New Haven on Sept. 6, 1932, daughter of the late Valentino and Eleanora Luzi Asprelli. Ann had worked as a home health aide for Omni Home Health for 15 years until her retirement in 2002. After retiring, she volunteered her time at Laurel Woods/Apple Rehab of East Haven.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Edward Misbach and his wife Donna of East Haven and James Misbach and his wife Carla of Guilford; a daughter; Lisa (Ken) Misbach Critzer and her husband Ken of Cape Cod, Massachusetts; three brothers, Evo Asprelli and his wife Theresa of East Haven, John Asprelli of Hamden, and Phil Asprelli and his wife Barbara of North Haven; a sister; Carol Noeble of Port Charlotte, Florida; and a sister-in-law, Irene Asprelli of Orange. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Matthew, Michael, Joshua, Nathan, Brooke, Rick, Melissa, Eric, and Jessica; one great-granddaughter, Savannah; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Silvio Asprelli; a sister-in-law, Rose A. Asprelli; and two brothers-in-law, Ernie and Louie Asprelli.
A funeral mass was celebrated at Our Lady of Pompeii Church. Burial was in All Saints Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, or to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. The East Haven Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
