01/18/2012 11:00 PMCynthia Maria Ranciato-Henninger, 43, of East Haven, died on Jan. 16 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford, surrounded by her loving family, after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. Cynthia was born in New Haven on Dec. 10, 1968, daughter of Louis E. and Maryann DeCola Ranciato of Wallingford. She graduated from North Haven High School in 1986 and was a licensed public insurance adjuster for Ranciato and Ranciato Insurance Adjusters. Cynthia was an avid nature and animal lover and a super mom.
Besides her parents, she is survived by her three children, Kelsey, Kyle, and Kevin Henninger, all of East Haven; three siblings, Richard Ranciato and his wife Catherine of East Haven, Lori Xeller and her husband Anthony of North Haven, and Lisa Samenfink and her husband Peter of Wallingford; and two nephews and a niece, Josh, Jason, and Mya. She is also survived by her loving cousins, Theresa Ranciato-Viele and John Viele; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her godmother, Alexandria Carter. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Carmel and Richard DeCola; her paternal grandparents, Carmel and Peter Ranciato; and a special cousin, Jack Viele.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., North Haven, on Friday, Jan. 20, at 9:30 a.m., for a mass of Christian burial at Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 10 a.m. Private burial will take place at the convenience of the family. Visiting hours will be Thursday, Jan. 19, from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cynthia Ranciato-Henninger Children’s Benefit Fund. www.northhavenfuneral.com
