Michelina “Mickey” Bosco, 80, North Haven


Michelina “Mickey” Laudicina Bosco, 80, of 29 Turner Dr., North Haven, died May 26 at her home after a long courageous battle with cancer.  She was the wife of the late Carmelo “Carmen” Bosco.  She was born in New Haven on March 31, 1931, daughter of the late Giuseppe and Francesca Bua Laudicina.  Mickey enjoyed cooking, entertaining, and her frequent trips to Florida, but the most important love in her life was the dedication and unconditional love she gave to her children and especially to her grandchildren who were the lights of her life. 

Her family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to Kasha and Pindon of the Connecticut Hospice Homecare for all the excellent care and comfort they gave to Mickey over these past few months in her home.

She is survived by her beloved children, Joseph G. Bosco, Kathleen Macmillen and her husband Greg, and Lisa Feather and her husband James, all of North Haven.  She was the loving and devoted grandma of William Bosco, Chelsea and Kyle Ostrum, Nicholas Lazar, Jeanne and Jennifer Bosco, and Jonathan Feather.  In addition, she is survived by her sister, Grace D’Adamo of North Haven. She was predeceased by her brother, James P. Laudicina.

Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., North Haven, on Wednesday, June 1, at 9:30 a.m.  A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Therese Church at 10 a.m.  Visiting hours will be Tuesday, May 31, from 4 to 8 p.m.  Private burial will take place in All Saints Cemetery at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Connecticut Hospice, Inc., 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT  06405.
