Alice G. Baldyga, 90, Groton, formerly of North Haven
Alice Golembiewski Baldyga, 90, of Gales Ferry Rd., Groton, formerly of Kings Highway, North Haven, died peacefully at her home on Feb. 25. She was the wife of the late Stanley J. Baldyga. She was born in New Haven on Dec. 21, 1920, daughter of the late Bruno and Agnes Furtak Golembiewski. Alice enjoyed crafts and was an extraordinary woman with a remarkable will.
She is survived by two children, Patricia Kelly and her husband Edward of Bartlett, New Hampshire, and Laura Giordano and her husband G. Michael of Groton; her three grandchildren, Christopher Kelly and his wife Carolyn, Erin Tragash and her husband Eric, and Jared Kelly and his wife Katherine; six great-grandchildren, Jordan, Kelly, Owen, Regan, Maeve, and Nora; a brother, Joseph Golembiewski of West Haven; and a sister, Bernice Polk and her husband James of Westbrook. She was predeceased by two sons, Robert J. and Stanley E. Baldyga, and four siblings, Wanda Losaw, Adele Ryan, and Edward and Lillian Golembiewski.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated on March 1 at St. Barnabas Church, North Haven. Burial was in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
