Barbara F. Tomassetti Daly, 77, Wallingford and Clinton
Barbara F. Tomassetti Daly, 77, beloved wife of the late George F. “Boomer” Daly, Jr., of Wallingford, and a summer resident of Clinton Beach, died peacefully on Feb. 18 at the Masonicare Health Center in Wallingford surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Meriden on Sept. 20, 1933, a daughter of the late Thomas and Mildred NemicTomassetti and a dear niece of the late Elsie Tomassetti Sinicrope. She was a graduate of Meriden High School class of 1951 and later attended the University of Connecticut and Endicott College. She worked as a buyer for G. Fox & Company and Esther’s Dress Shop of Wallingford. Over the past 40 years, she worked as a travel agent for Squire Travel of Meriden, Mercury Travel of Wallingford and Cheshire, and most recently New Haven Travel.
Her greatest joy was her immediate and extended family. She was a thoughtful and caring sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed cheering on the Boston Red Sox and UConn Huskies.
She is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law Thomas G. and Patricia F. Daly of Wallingford; her two grandchildren, Marisa and Tyler Daly, who were her pride and joy; and a loving sister Linda S. Wanat of New Jersey.
Interment was in In Memoriam Cemetery in Wallingford. Arrangements are under the direction of The Wallingford Funeral Home.
