01/09/2011 11:00 PMEleanor Ann (Kolaniak) Dunn, 64, a long-time resident of Guilford, and more recently of Ashford, died peacefully on Jan. 6 at the Connecticut Hospice in Branford. She was the wife of William J. Dunn. Born in Bridgeport on June 9, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Joseph John Kolaniak and Frances Gladezuk Kolaniak. Mrs. Dunn had worked at Unilever in Clinton for many years.
Her family expresses their sincere appreciation for the compassionate care given by the staff of the Connecticut Hospice, along with Dr. Zaheer and his staff at Medical Oncology and Hematology of Guilford.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Dunn is survived by her children, Jennifer Kovacs and her husband Gary of Guilford, Erin Dunn and her partner Chad Robertson of Norwood, Massachusetts, and Maureen Wilson and her husband Ashley of Fort Lewis, Washington. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Matthew, Cameron, and Benjamin Musket and Avery Wilson, as well as a nephew and three nieces. She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph T. Kolaniak.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 11, at 11 a.m., at St. Joseph’s Polish National Church, 1300 Stratford Rd., Stratford. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Polish National Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Monday, Jan. 10, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St, Guilford. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to remember her with a memorial gift are asked to make donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
