Ronald F. Stickney, 73, New Haven
Ronald F. Stickney, 73, of 408 Whitney Ave., New Haven, died Nov. 9 at the Masonic Health Care Center, Wallingford. Born in New Haven on Aug. 1, 1937, he was the son of the late Forrest and Gertrude Creed Stickney. Ronald had worked as head security officer at the Peabody Museum until his retirement in September 2009 and had served his country faithfully in the U.S. Navy. Ronald loved classical music and books, and he also acted in small theatre.
He is survived by his sister, Patricia Bartholomew of North Haven; two cousins, Janet Langella of Wallingford and Donald Pitcher of West Haven; and his nieces and nephews, Debra Brown, Gene and Gregory Bartholomew, and Patricia, Vincent, and Richard Langella. He is also survived by several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., North Haven, on Friday, Nov. 19, at 11 a.m., followed by burial in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
