Cosmo Amendola, 80, Guilford
Cosmo Amendola, 80, a long-time resident of Guilford, died peacefully on Oct. 28 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in New Haven on May 15, 1930, son of the late Luigi and Theresa Amendola.
He is survived by two daughters, Danine Foley and her husband Timothy of Guilford and Beth Amendola of Guilford; a brother, Clem Amendola of East Haven; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by six siblings, Helen Leprie, and Louis, Anthony, Carmen, Susan, and Frank Amendola.
Friends are invited to call at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St., Guilford, on Sunday, Oct. 31, from 4 to 7 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. George Church, 33 Whitfield St., Guilford, at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 1, followed by burial in St. George Cemetery, Hubbard Rd., Guilford.
