Louise G. Burger, 83, North Branford, formerly of Madison

Louise G. Burger, 83, of Evergreen Woods, North Branford, formerly of Madison, died peacefully on Aug. 14 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford. She was the wife of the late Dudley C. Burger. Louise was born on Oct. 24, 1926, in Lowell, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Gilbert W. and Carolyn Grabb Gilmore. She was a graduate of Commercial High School, New Haven, and was a long time, active member of Trinity Church on the Green in New Haven.

She is survived by her daughters, Janis Boyd and her husband Craig of Brewer, Maine, and Susan Moretti and her husband Michael of Guilford. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Chelsea and Sam Boyd and Jeffrey and Nick Moretti, and two nieces.  She was predeceased by her sister, Carolyn G. Fitzgerald, and her twin sister, Martha Fappiano.

A celebration of her life was held on Aug. 17 at Trinity Church on the Green, New Haven.  Burial was private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Avery's Fund, c/o Middlesex County Community Foundation, 211 South Main St., Middletown, CT 06457, or to Trinity Church on the Green, 129 Church St., Suite 705, New Haven, CT 06510. Hawley Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, Guilford, was in charge of arrangements.
