Marie W. Foley, 86, North Haven

Marie Wynne Foley, 86, of 11 St. John St., North Haven, died Aug. 1 at the Mary Wade Home in New Haven.  She was the wife of the late John W. Foley, Jr.  Born in West Haven on Nov. 2, 1923, she was the daughter of the late James J. and Elsie Nelson Wynne.  Marie received her bachelor’s degree in English from UCONN and her master’s degree in early childhood education from SCSU.  She taught kindergarten in the Orange School System until her retirement. 

She is survived by three children, Patricia A. Foley of North Haven, Judy F. Iaquinto and her husband Joseph of North Haven, and John W. Foley III of Leesburg, Virginia.  She is also survived by two grandchildren, Kate and Michael Iaquinto.

Funeral Services will be conducted at the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., North Haven, on Monday, Aug. 9, at 7 p.m.  Family and friends may call from 5 p.m. until the time of the service.  Private burial will take place in All Saints Cemetery at the convenience of the family.  Should friends desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mary Wade Home, 118 Clinton Ave., New Haven, CT 06513, or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 2911 Dixwell Ave., Hamden, CT  06518.
