Florence C. Jones, 89 Wallingford, formerly of North Haven

Florence C. Falkowski Jones, 89, of 22 Masonic Ave., Wallingford, formerly of Upper State St., North Haven, died July 23 at the Masonicare.  She was the wife of 68 years to the late Elroy R.S. Jones. She was born in Suffield on Oct. 9, 1920, daughter of the late Walter and Christine Murkowicz Falkowski.  She had worked as a secretary for law offices in New Haven and Branford. She was also a member of the New Haven Council of Catholic Women and a parishioner of St. Barnabas Church, North Haven.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and David Fletcher of Palm Coast, Florida; a granddaughter, Laura Fletcher of Grafton, New Hampshire; five brothers, Charles, Chester, Henry, Leon, and Frank Falkowski; and a sister, Elizabeth Strycarz. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Victor and Edward Falkowski. 

A funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., North Haven, on Tuesday, July 27, at 10:30 a.m. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning.  A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Barnabas Church at 11 a.m.  Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery, Enfield.  Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Ave., North Haven, CT 06473, or to the Masonicare Charitable Foundation, P.O.
