07/21/2010 12:00 AMClark A. Denslow, Jr., 57, of 9 Oak Ledge Lane in Wilton, died peacefully at home on July 14, following a hard-fought and lengthy battle with cancer. He was the husband of Cynthia (Blomberg) Denslow and the son of Clark A. Denslow of Madison and the late Kathleen (Meyer) Denslow, formerly of Wilton.
Clark was born at Norwalk Hospital on March 17, 1953. He graduated from Wilton High School in 1971 and from the University of Vermont in 1975. Following graduation, he worked at Electric Boat in Groton, and Connsave in Redding. From 1989 to 2001, he owned the New Haven County franchise of Housemaster Home Inspection. For the past six years, he had worked at Eastern Mechanical Services in Danbury.
Besides his wife and father, he is survived by two daughters, Taylor A. Denslow and Morgan A. Denslow, both of Wilton; four siblings, Maureen Lavorgna of Killingworth, William Denslow of Deep River , Christopher Denslow of Centerbrook, and Kathleen Decker of Nantucket, Massachusetts; and 12 nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Clark’s life will take place on Saturday, July 24, at 11 a.m., at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 36 New Canaan Rd., Wilton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Denslow Childrens’ College Fund, c/o Webster Bank, 219 Town Green, Wilton, CT 06897.
