Charles Lewis Hull, 71 Little Rock, Arkansas, formerly of Chester
Charles Lewis Hull, 71, of Little Rock, Arkansas, formerly of Chester, died on June 30. He was the husband of Sheila Schwarz Hull. He was born on Dec. 6, 1938, son of the late Joseph P.D. and Ethel Sanders Hull. He was raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and received a B.A. and BSME from Rice University. He also completed three years of shipboard duty as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy. After completing his MSME at the University of Illinois, he joined Exxon Chemical, with which he held a series of sales and staff positions.
Charles lived in Chester from 1976 to 1996 and worked in sales for S.L. Cooke of Branford. During this time, he was active in town, church, and civic affairs, serving on the Chester Board of Finance and the Region 4 Board of Education. He also played the flute with the River Valley and Old Lyme bands and was a member of the Deep River Congregational Church.
After moving to Little Rock, he became a member of the North Little Rock Community Band.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter Katherine Hilliar of Essex; his son David Hull of Newfane, Vermont; four step-children, Courtney Wilson Hornsby, Kristen Wilson Seiter, and Philip Wilson, all of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Brooke Wilson of Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan. He is also survived by a brother, Joseph P.D. Hull of Golden, Colorado, and nine grandchildren.
Private burial took place in Stephens, Arkansas. Gifts in his memory may be made to the North Little Rock Community Band, P.O. Box 153, North Little Rock, AR 72115. The Ruebel Funeral Home, Little Rock, Arkansas, was in charge of arrangements.
