Casimer 'Cas' Jablonski, 91 North Haven
Casimer "Cas" Jablonski, 91, of 41 Poplar Street, North Haven, died peacefully at his home on
Jan. 2. He was the husband of 67 years to the late Patricia Mae
Ellis Jablonski. He was born in Derby on March 4, 1918, son of the late Joseph and Mary Jablonski. He had worked as a gunsmith for the O.F. Mossberg Company for 52 years until his retirement. He was also a communicant of St. Barnabas Church. In additon, he was a member of the North Haven Senior Center, the Cassidy Club at Mossberg's, and the McDonald's Breakfast Club in North Haven. He loved the North Haven Fair, with which he was very active. He was also a very talented and avid duck pin bowler, enjoyed playing cards, and enjoyed animals, especially cats and feeding the birds. His family extends a special "thank you" to the Connecticut Hospice staff, especially Dennis, Anne, and Tina, and also to his home health caregivers Katie, Colleen, and Robyn, for all the care and comfort given to their father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He is survived by two children, James P.
Jablonski and his wife Sue A. Jablonski of Westerville, Ohio, and Judith A. Jablonski-Libbey and her husband Ronald F. Libbey of Franklin, Massachusetts. He is also survived by his grandchildren Michael J. and Lisa Marie Jablonski, Jennifer P. Bryson and her husband Joseph, and Christopher F. Libbey and his wife Erin and five great-grandchildren, Krista N. and Derek J. Bowers, Darrin Schoen, and Riley L. and Cole J. Bryson. He was predeceased by a brother, John Jablonski, and two sisters, Helen and Sophie.
A funeral procession was held from the North Haven Funeral Home on Jan. 9, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Barnabas Church. Burial was in All Saints Cemetery.
