Arthur R. Lovelace, 90 Formerly of North Branford and Killingworth
Arthur R. Lovelace, 90, formerly of North Branford and Killingworth, died Nov. 29 at the Connecticut Hospice, surrounded by his beloved family. He was the husband of the late Dorothy Avery Lovelace. He was born in Camden, New Jersey, on
Jan. 11, 1919, son of William H. and Ella Rice Lovelace. Prior to his retirement, he was a computer programmer for Echlin Manufacturing Company.
He is survived by two daughters, Joan R. Cohn and her husband Nathan of North Branford and Patricia Lovelace of Branford; a son, Arthur D. Lovelace of Hamden; two grandchildren, Daniel Cohn of New Haven and Susan Cohn of Washington, D.C.; and his beloved companion, Velma Leighton and her family. He was predeceased by two brothers, William H. and Robert Lovelace, and a sister, Eleanor Humphrey.
Funeral services were held on Dec. 5 at Zion Episcopal Church, North Branford. Burial was in Bare Plain Cemetery, North Branford. In lieu of flowers, memorials donations may be made to the Connecticut Hospice, Inc., 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405, or the Vermont Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Inc., 209 Austine Dr., Brattleboro, VT 05301. The Keenan Funeral Home, North Branford, was in charge of arrangements.
