11/18/2009 11:00 PMJane Donaldson Snow, 81, of Naples, Florida, died peacefully on Nov. 8. She was a former resident of Madison, where she raised a family with Robert B. Snow, Jr., who predeceased her in 1987. A loving mother and grandmother, business woman, and avid traveler, she will be dearly missed by her four children and their families: Allison Snow; Peter and Robin Curtis; Carol Snow; John and Margaret Crane; William Snow; Kyle, Paige, Quinn, and Wasana Hennessy-Snow; and Richard, Gretchen, Charlotte, and Olivia Snow.
A graduate of New Trier High School (1946) and Wellesley College (1950), she will also be missed by her close friends, the Kenilworth Girls, and her
other lifelong friends and loved ones. She will long be remembered for her warmth, sense of humor, and adventurous spirit, which took her far and wide with family and friends, from Arizona to Alaska, Cuba to Kenya. She was an active volunteer in community service, the Naples United Church of Christ, the Naples Garden Club, the Naples Historical Society, and Wellesley College groups. She often spent her summers on the coast of Maine, close to nature, family, and friends.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21, at the Bower Chapel at Moorings Park, 120 Moorings Park Dr., Naples, FL 34105. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to AMD (Age-related Macular Degeneration) Alliance International at www.amdalliance.org.
