Lauren Bennett-Dionne, director of education at the Connecticut River Museum, discusses the use of wigwams and animal pelts in the year 1678 to Eileen Schiess at the Joshua Bushnell House and Farm in Old Saybrook on Oct. 26. The farm hosted an event where interpreters and a curator welcomed visitors to experience what daily life was like hundreds of years ago. Activities included weaving, apple pressing, 17th-century cooking, woodworking, corn grinding, a new wigwam exhibit, and archaeology demonstrations.
