Nightmare’s Gate Haunted House in Northford

Ticketed Attraction is also Accepting Donations to Benefit Cecarelli’s Farm

Press Release, Nightmare Productions LLC

After a successful opening run last year, Nightmare’s Gate brought its spine-tingling thrills to Northford’s Cecarelli’s Harrison Hill Farm this Halloween season.

Nightmare’s Gate is a haunted attraction spearheaded by five individuals with a combined 40 years’ worth of experience in the haunt community. The haunt, created by Nightmare Productions, LLC, first debuted in Burlington last October. It received stellar reviews from event-goers, with many praising the professional and creative scenes.

“Amazing experience,” recalled one attendee. “Family friendly and props and actors are top tier. Went through at least seven times and loved it!”

The haunt just got their feet wet in 2023 with a “soft opening,” attracting around 1,000 attendees, and this season, the team hopes to quintuple that number. The team promises several new houses, additional scare actors, and above all – more screams.

Horror enthusiasts can expect to be spooked by all forms of life, including zombies, witches, clowns, and more nightmare-fueled entities. Nightmare’s Gate differentiates itself in the haunt community with their attention to detail.

“We put a lot of detail in our sets to really help the experience come alive,” Nightmare’s Gate co-owner Kaylee Doll said. “From the second guests enter the haunt to the minute they leave, we want them to feel engulfed in a new world.”

Nightmare’s Gate opened Oct. 4 and runs every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through October 26 at Cecarelli’s Harrison Hill Farm, located at 1591 Middletown Ave. On Friday and Saturday, the attraction begins at dusk and closes at 11 p.m. On Sunday, the attraction begins at dusk and wraps up at 10 p.m.

A “Not So Scary Walk Through” will take place each night just before dusk, allowing customers the chance to check out the sets and scenes without the monsters.

All customers will also have the option to donate to Cecarelli’s Harrison Hill Farm. Farmer William DellaCamera, who has called Northford home for over 44 years, received a devastating blow earlier this year when a 15-minute halestorm wiped out all of his crops. The donations will help DellaCamera rebuild and recover.

General admission and “Not So Scary Walk Through” tickets are currently available at NightmaresGateCT.com. We hope to scare you soon.
