Brokenhearted Kate and Gus
When one of our volunteers was ready to adopt, she chose two very shy cats that most people tended to overlook when visiting the shelter. Kate and Oscar had each other for comfort as they got used to life in a home for the first time. Before long, they were sitting next to their mom on the sofa and sleeping in bed with her every night. Sadly, Oscar became very sick, and Kate found herself alone, without her best buddy. Several months later, Gus was adopted to keep her company, and the two immediately became fast friends. Gus is extremely friendly and outgoing, and Kate’s broken heart began to heal. Then tragedy struck. Their mom died suddenly, and Kate and Gus found themselves back in a room at the shelter. Nothing would make them happier than to be adopted together. If you could find it in your heart to open your home to these special cats who have experienced so much sadness in their lives, please come meet them, or apply online at www.forgottenfelinesct.org.
