State Senator Norm Needleman looks over equipment at Westbrook High School in their newly expanded and renovated welding and metal fabrication lab following a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Sept. 30. The lab is part of an initiative to provide students with the training necessary to enter the manufacturing workforce with little to no additional training. The event was attended by local, state, and national officials and representatives from the U.S. Navy and Electric Boat.
