Branford Poll Will Open for Early Voting Oct. 21 - Nov. 3

Branford’s registered voters will have a window of 14 days to come out and vote early for the Tuesday, Nov. 5 2024 Presidential Election at the town’s single early polling location, the Joe Trapasso Community House, 46 Church Street. Between Monday, Oct. 21 and Sunday, Nov. 3, Branford’s registered voters will have a window of 14 days to come out and vote early for the Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024 Presidential Election, by visiting a single polling site. Early voting for Branford voters will be held at the Joe Trapasso Community House, 46 Church Street, during specified hours.

Additionally, absentee ballots for the 2024 Presidential Election become available on Friday, Oct. 4. Eligible Branford residents can request an absentee ballot online by visiting the Branford Town Clerk’s office page at branford-ct.gov All absentee ballots must be received by the close of polls, 8 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 5, according to the Office of the Connecticut Secretary of State. Absentee ballots can be returned by mail, brought to the Town Clerk’s Office at Town Hall, or dropped in the secure State of Connecticut drop box at located in front of Town Hall.

All registered voters from Branford’s seven polling districts are eligible to vote early and in-person. Branford Registrars of Voters Darren Lawler and Jeff Rowan have announced the following days/times when early voting will be held in the gymnasium at the Community House: Monday, Oct. 21 through Sunday, Oct. 27, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Monday, Oct. 28, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Tuesday, Oct. 29, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Wednesday, Oct. 30, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Thursday, Oct. 31, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Friday Nov. 1 through Sunday Nov. 3, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

On Tuesday, Nov. 5, Branford’s seven voting locations will open at 6 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. sharp for the 2024 Presidential Election. Branford’s seven voting sites are: District One, Joe Trapasso Community House, 46 Church Street; District Two, St. Therese Church Hall, 105 Leetes Island Road; District 3, The Orchard House, 421 Shore Drive; District 4, Branford Fire Department Headquarters, 45 North Main Street; District 5, Indian Neck School, 12 Melrose Avenue; District 6, Mary T. Murphy School, 14 Brushy Plain Road, District 7, Walsh Intermediate School, 185 Damascus Road.
