Upcoming Crafters Care Events Help North Branford, Branford Food Assistance Programs
Two upcoming Crafters Care Events organized by Northford resident Kim Mucha will help support local nonprofit food assistance organizations in North Branford and Branford.
On Saturday, Sept. 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Crafters Care Craft Fair will help stock the Food Pantry of North Branford (FPNB). The annual event, held at Doody’s Inn, 465 Foxon Road in North Branford, will feature dozens of vendors offering unique, quality handcrafted items to shoppers.
“The quality and variety of vendors this year is outstanding,” Mucha noted.
Over 60 raffle baskets donated by the festival’s talented artisans and local businesses will be raffled off to benefit FPNB, with 100% of all raffle tickets sales going to FPNB. The mission of all-volunteer FPNB is to provide free supplemental groceries to those in need.
Crafters Care Craft Fair will also feature live music, with food and drink available for purchase from Doody's. Rain date is Saturday, Sept. 28.
On Saturday, Oct. 5, from noon to 5 p.m., Crafters Care Events’ Craft-Octoberfest will take place at Thimble Island Brewery Company, 16 Business Park Drive, Branford. The event will help to highlight the work of non-profit Feed Branford Kids (FBK) and a FBK info booth at the fair will also accept monetary donations. The goal of all-volunteer FBK is to ensure all Branford kids have food available to them on the weekends. This is the first Crafters Care Event to help support FBK, Mucha noted.
“As all our events give back to local nonprofits, we are so excited to work with Feed Branford Kids,” Mucha said.
Thimble Island Brewery’s craft beers and food menu items will be available for purchase as guests enjoy shopping among Connecticut-based artisans selling one-of-a-kind wares, from jewelry to chainsaw artwork.
