08/23/2024 02:18 PMBranford’s Coldwell Banker Realty office recently challenged its team members to a summer food drive which ultimately delivered three astounding car loads of donations to non-profit Community Dining Room (CDR) of Branford.
CDR Fundraising Coordinator Patrick Hackett said the food collected and delivered by the Coldwell Banker team weighed in at over 350 pounds. Food donations were collected at Coldwell Banker’s downtown Branford office, 1024 Main Street, as well by team members going door-to-door to gather more donations, said Hackett. Clients, neighbors, family, and friends of the Coldwell Banker agents all helped the drive to be a success.
Based in Branford in the Patricia C. Andriole Volunteer Services Center, 30 Harrison Avenue, non-profit CDR cooks and serves hundreds of nutritious free meals weekly. In addition to meals, CDR provides other support programs and services. CDR serves community members of Branford, North Branford, East Haven, and Guilford.
Coldwell Banker team members Gina Lee, Michele Kowolenko, Jaime Lettieri, Heather Schweikert, Sheri Peterson, Stephen Wilhelm, Nancy Hunt, Donna Ricci, Carter Burgess, Steve Burke, Chuck Conti, Lauren Freedman, Barbara Altieri, Samantha Celantano Severino all helped to make the food drive, organized by Sally Tucker, a success.
Tucker brought the idea to the office after discussing the mission of non-profit CDR with her friend, Sue Asher. Asher is a CDR volunteer and program committee member.
