Press Release from The Women’s Club of Madison

Peggy Keenan from The Women’s Club of Madison recently presented a check to Christi Burton, the director of Interfaith Volunteers and Meals on Wheels; and Tony Sicignano, the director of Charlie’s Closet.

Located in Guilford, Charlie’s Closet is a medical clearinghouse which accepts donations of medical equipment and then makes the equipment available to those in need in Guilford, Madison, and the surrounding shoreline area. Their mission is “neighbors helping neighbors.”

The Women’s Club of Madison, part of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, which was founded in 1890, is proud to support this organization. Members of The Women’s Club of Madison work to support the arts, preserve natural resources, advance education, promote healthy lifestyles, encourage civic involvement, and work toward world peace and understanding.
