Man Dies After Falling from a Roof in Clinton
Press Release from Clinton Police Department
On Aug. 12 at 8:21 a.m., the Clinton Police Department (CPD) and emergency personnel from the Clinton Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to 13 Fox Hill Drive for a report of a fall off of a residential roof. The caller reported that the victim had sustained serious injuries from the fall. Upon arrival, officers and medical personnel immediately began performing life-saving measures on the 37-year-old male victim. Unfortunately, the victim had succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. A preliminary investigation revealed that the owners of the residence had hired a roofing company to perform a service to their house.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the Connecticut Office of the Chief Medical Examiner responded to the scene and will be conducting their own independent investigation related to the incident. As of Aug. 13, the CPD reported that the case is still actively under investigation.
